The Namicos Shiga Plant lies at the heart of our packaging quality operations. Built in May 1990, this plant offers high-quality facilities for manufacturing pharmaceutical packaging to ISO 6/7 equivalent clean standards.
The plant currently has a site area of 88,974 square feet (8,266 m squared). Due to client demand, we are increasing capacity and a new storage facility is currently under construction.
At our Shiga Plant, the manufacturing and processing of pharmaceutical packages is regarded as both a science and an art (the “art” of Japanese manufacturing is known as “Monozukuri”).
“Monozukuri” is often translated into English as “manufacturing”, but it is more than the simple manufacture of products and more about encouraging technological prowess while using the experience of our inspectors and technicians. Like traditional craftsmen, we are committed to constantly honing and improving our skills.
Namicos strictly monitors the cleanliness of our Shiga Plant facilities to ensure that all products are manufactured, cleaned and processed in rooms comparable to GMP-quality pharmaceutical production sites.
Our high-quality glass ampoules are manufactured in a completely sealed environment. Manufacturing, processing, inspection, assembly and packaging areas are clearly defined in designated clean zones.
Some specific rooms have HEPA filtration system to remove particles from the outside air, while others install MEPA filters. Air particle counters are used for cleaning, processing and inspection, as well as the siliconization process.
Additional facility information and layouts can be provided to clients upon request.
Namicos offers a variety of packaging-related products and services to reduce costs and accelerate speed-to-market for our clients.
